Washroom

Why do you need a Sanitiser?

Employees often come to work inadvertently carrying some illnesses. For example the flu, common cold, ecoli, gastroenteritis or even hepatitis ... and they use the toilet.

The disease they are carrying comes out in their waste products.

When they flush the toilet system and the water from the cistern hits the water in the bowl, it throws into the atmosphere disease laden aerosols. Some diseases can stay in the atmosphere for up to eight minutes and if you walk in after they have flushed you can breathe and ingest that disease which may cause cross contamination. You may get a certain amount of cross-infection from coughing and sneezing, however, 90% of diseases are believed to spread from the washroom.

Disease aerosols may also land on the toilet seat, the taps, right down to the cubicle door lock.

The Alsco Fresh & Clean Sanitiser is plumbed into your system and each time you flush either the toilet or urinal it releases a measured dose of anti-bacterial solution which neutralises harmful diseases. A mist is still created but it contains the anti-bacterial solution. It also contains a surfactant (wetting agent) which coats the surface with a Teflon-like coating and helps prevent bacteria clinging to the sides and uric acid build up.
