We’re excited to share a big step forward in our sustainability journey — Alsco Uniforms has installed a 215 kW solar energy system at our Alsco Uniforms Perth branch!

This solar setup is now powering around 36% of the site’s electricity needs. That’s enough clean energy to power 57 homes every year — all from the sun.

Cleaner Energy, Lower Emissions

It’s not just about powering our operations — it’s about protecting the planet. The new solar system will reduce our carbon emissions by 211 tonnes per year, which is the same as taking 104 cars off the road.

And there’s more to come. The system is designed to expand by another 100 kW in the future, and we’re exploring the addition of smart AI-powered battery storage to boost energy efficiency even further.

A Nationwide Solar Push

The Perth installation is part of a bigger plan. Across our Australian branches, Alsco Uniforms has identified the potential for 2,114 kW of solar power — all helping to cut emissions and ease pressure on the energy grid.

We’re also making other changes, like replacing steam-based systems with electric high-temperature heat pumps, helping us run more efficiently and sustainably.

What’s Next?

Next up: a 235 kW solar installation in Alsco Uniforms Cairns, set to go live in Q3 2025. And in 2026, we’re planning to boost our solar capacity by another 700 kW across our sites.

At Alsco Uniforms, renewable energy isn’t just a goal — it’s the way forward.
